THUMPING VICTORY
















It was historic win for India on a historic Monday when master blaster Sachin Tendulkar guided India to a famous six-wicket win over England in the first cricket test at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium. It was Tendulkar's 41st ton that turned the tide against England. The master remained unbeaten with 103 runs in 196 balls including 9 fours. Triumphant chase of 387 was recorded as highest in the sub-continent, second highest successful run chase by India and fourth highest ever by any team in fourth innings. The run chase began with a blasting spark of Virender Sehwag as he bagged Man of the Match award for his 83 runs in 68 balls with 4 sixes and 11 fours. This was a memorable victory for both men in blue and the nation.

STAR CAR







Maruti's star car A-STAR has drived into the market. It styles and looks are awesome with cool headlights. A-Stars profile is fundamentally different from Alto. The shape is similiar to that of Hyundai's I-10. It feels light to drive, well weighted brakes with good stopping power. Three-cylinder motor, 998cc and power of 67 bhp at 6200 rpm gives well-earned smoothness of motor with low noise. It takes 13.7 seconds to accelerate to 100kph from rest and this is quiker than i10. A-Star is priced comparitively between 3.5 lakhto 4.5 lakh. With light electric steering, responsive engine and weedy grip its ideally suited for urban conditions. A-Star has everything to become the next big small car.

GHAJINI



Amir Khan's ambitious and much awaited film "Ghajini" is going to be released on the eve of Christmas. The film is written and directed by A.R. Murugadoss, produced by Allu Aravind under the banner Geeta Arts. Its a remake of tamil film "Ghajini". Music is directed by great music maestro A.R. Rehman. It stars are Amir Khan, Asin and Jiah Khan. Ghajini is a mix of romance, action and thiller directed mostly in India. Amir khan looks good in his new hair style with two grooves over his head. He also worked hard at gym to get such huge stuff muscles.

MARADONA'S TOUR TO INDIA


It was a dream for many football lovers in India when Diego Armando Maradona made his maiden visit to India. The soccer-crazy city of Kolkata got upturned when the soccer genius landed in Kolkata for his two-day visit. More than ten thousand people thranglled the galleries at the Mohun Bagan ground on Sunday. Junior players were cheerful on seeing the legend up close. Argentina legend master showed of his ball skills at the Mohun Bagan Ground. The performance lasted for seven minutes included juggling the ball with his left foot, balanced it on his forehead, rolled on to his shoulder, then his thighs and finally kicked on to the stands where fans rushed to catch the gift from the God of football. Maradona later made a visit to the Mother House, the home of Missioneries of Charity, paid homage to Mother Teresa. Legends tour to India would surely be one of his unforgetful one.
